Chamber choir "Gaudeamus" is a proud of the Bauman University. It was founded at 1968 and gave more than 800 concerts. About 400 students passed the aesthetic education.

"Gaudeamus" is well-known in Moscow, other cities of Russia and also abroad. It had concerts in Saint-Petesburg, Narva, Kirov, Nizhni Novgorod, Izhevsk, Votkinsk, Tyumen, Vladimir, Novgorod, Vologda, Kaluga, Tallin, Riga, Yerevan, Yalta and also in Poland (1977, 2001), Bulgaria (1979, 1983), Hungary (1981), Slovakia (1988), Germany (1981, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993), Spain (1992), the Netherlands (1991, 1993, 2002), Italy (1995) and France (2004).

The Chamber choir is also a laureate of the Republic, All-Russian and international contests and festivals, the laureate of the Leninst Komsomol Award (1982). The choir has the giant disk and the repertoire collection, and radio-stations broadcast its records. Right now there are 40 people singing in the choir.

Since the formation the leader of choir is the honoured art worker of Russia, professor Vladimir Zhivov.
